The identical twins thing is weird lol I know a family where sisters both had identical twin girls. I also read that if you undergo assisted hatching that increases your chances of your embryo splitting, thus identicals. Just some useless info for you lol.

    My new most annoying thing:
"You had an implantation, that's a good".
Really? Actually it doesn't feel "good" that the embryo failed to grow and I lost the pregnancy- it feels pretty terrible.

My fav is, 'how exciting' not not really, needles, fanny cream & mood swings, not exciting when the outcome isn't guaranteed!

The multiples makes me laugh too... Everyone thinks just cause your doing IVF you are going to have twins!

Oh the joys of it all!! Lol

    Great thread girls

Many of DH's friends on hearing we were going thru IVF actually congratulated him on how much sex he must be getting in order to conceive! I mean - seriously?! The last thing either of us wanted after epu and testicular sperm retrieval was even consider nookie!

    Love the thread ladies!!

Fertility nurse: we can start with your next cycle. When are you expecting a period?
Me: Never. I don't get periods...
Fertility nurse: gee, some people get all the luck...

WTF??? From my FERTILITY NURSE!!!!!! Luck?? Of course because never getting periods is worth all of this... Totally... Sometimes I would sell my soul for a f$@&!ng period!!!!!

And the one that I still can't believe...

Friend: How is all your fertility stuff going?
Me: not so good, it's not working so we will be starting IVF soon.
Friend: oh... I had some trouble myself... I had an abortion 2 weeks ago... We can't afford a baby...

    Speechless... Utterly utterly speechless....

We are so silly, what are we thinking?? Going to all these doctors and specialists, when all we had to do was cook up some mushrooms

I heard one the other day (from a well meaning friend who didn't mean anything by it) "Well at least you two are lucky that you can afford to pay for the IVF, wait till the kids come along, you won't have any money then". WTF does that even mean...? umm we're doing the IVF so we can have a kid.. and i doubt a child could cost us $15k in 8 months!

Now im avoiding to talk to my best friend (who got preg with her first accidently when she was 20 then got another unplanned baby 1 yr after )

Everytime she rings me first thing she say was " are you pregnant yet?"when are you going to do IVF? -- I just talk to you yesterday n the day before n my answer is still the same NO! I'm not preg 

Then she will go on n on about how her kids annoying her n I'm so lucky to not hv one because they are monster.

" I don't understand why you want baby so bad. All they do are spending your money n give you headache. I wish I never hv one "

"what's wrong with you? Why it's so hard for you to get preg" --geez thanks! If you wasn't my friend who I know for over 10 yrs I will punch you right in the face right now! 

"don't need to do IVF, save the money n enjoy. If you want kid just come n take my son, he has been crying all day so I locked him in garage. P!ssed me off" -- Errrr I will never let you babysit my kid. EVER!!

I'm starting my IVF cycle this Monday n every time I talk to her , she always bring all this stuff up n upset me. I didnt want to get mad at her for being insensitive BUT I can't help it!
just because she is a bad mum doesn't mean I'll be like her ( sorry but she is , saw her slap n smack him in the head of her 3 yrs old because he doesn't want to eat his lunch )

Glad I bought mushrooms in the shopping today, time to start lacing all DH meals with them.
