    Default Hiding a Pregnancy

*Warning for all, may contain a slightly sensitive issue*

So DH and I are TTC soon.
I'm on a medication that raises my chances of foetal complications, and also because I have miscarried before, we want to want until 10/11 weeks to tell everyone in case something happens. So we don't have to go through the "We're expecting!"...a week later and everyone around us knowing..."Well, we're not now" heartbreak of AngelBaby.

Problem is, I show early and I show big.

DD was a bump at 8 weeks that had people assuming I was 16 weeks along or asking if I had twins. Then again, she was over 10 pounds at birth.

Angel Baby left at 7 weeks and I had a large lump that was obviously a pregnancy.

Are there any ways I can hide the bump when it comes?
DH's idea was to tell everyone that I was trying to lose weight, and the probiotic yoghurt I was eating made me bloat.
I also have loose clothing as an idea.

You said you are on a medication... Could you say (if someone asks) that bloating is a side effect of the medication?

I wore loose clothing until I told my parents at 26 weeks baby-doll style tops were my friend!
Maybe those spanx tummy sucker in things to hold it all in? May be a bit uncomfy though if you aren't used to them.
Bloating is a good excuse, too.

Could you just say you've put on weight and are sensitive about it so please don't ask any questions?

Loose shirts. ImageUploadedByBub Hub1337432362.157628.jpgImageUploadedByBub Hub1337432372.562731.jpg I bought these the other day from Jay Jays and they're fantastic with some black leggings. They're loose and cover your bum so people aren't like = O she's wearing leggings! Lol
Loose cardigans are a life saver. There are cute ponchos around as well. They look cute with skinny jeans or leggings, depending on the length.
Tell people that you've just put on a bit of weight.
Tell them you're on tablets that bloat you and cause diarreaha. Yes it's tmi but people will stop the conversation there lol

I agree with lilmiss, bloating is a side effect of many medicines. When it comes to appointments you can always say your getting tests done to see why your bloating and maybe considering changes meds.

And if all else fails, if someone makes a comment, just pretend to be super offended and gasp "are you saying I'm fat?!" or something to that extent. They feel so guilty and try to back pedal they won't talk about it again haha

How big do the tops come, DarkCherry? I have JJ boobs and buttonups usually don't...well..button.

I never even thought of "I'm just fat". Derp. I think DH will have the most fun with that one. He was thinking up grand plans of telling everyone he begged me not to eat that last taco, but I did, and now I'm so fat he has to wash my legs for me in the shower. Yeah thanks. So amusing for me.

It's getting colder so you should be able to get away with baggy jumpers and shirts? Luckily the baggy jumper is really trendy this year lol

I would go with tweaking medications and it causing bloating.

Also, a handbag that you wear across the body to hide or play down the bump.

Dark Cherry - I like those shirts.
