as title suggest my 9 week old is only taking 100mls every 4 to 5 hours for most bottles. I make up the 150mls buy she very rarely drinks it. the tin suggests she should be going up to 200mls

I think formula companies are trying to sell more formula, if she is growing and content, don't worry
She will only drink what she wants.
My DD was like that i was constantly worried and tried to get more into her. Force feeding my DD ,bad mum, ha ha ha. She is still the same with drinking now and she is nearly three.
Dont worry she will not go hungry.
What the tin suggests is just that, a suggestion. I just demand feed and ignore what the tin says.
My DD is 9 weeks too and is drinking between 90-120 every 3ish hours, but does cluster feed in the morning at the moment so has that every 2 hours for 3 feeds. Then a big sleep
If she's happy, ignore the tin and follow your DD's lead.

Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
Ignore the tin! Use this formula:
Baby's weight in kg x 150ml, then divide by the number of feeds in a 24hr period.
so if bub weighs 4kg and has 6 bottles per day:
4 x 150 = 600ml per day
600ml / 6 bottles = 100ml per bottle
Make sense? Does that fit better with how your bub is feeding?

Oh my... DS is 11 months old and drinks 180 mls. Don't follow the tin. Bub will know how hungry they are. As long as you're getting wet nappies and their pee isn't fluero yellow, it's okay.
My bubs is 3 weeks and only taking 60ml per feed instead of the recommended 90-100ml but she'd vomit violently if we forced that into her. Our health nurse said the same as other posters- if she's happy, having wet nappies & putting on weight (which she is) she's fine- she'll let you know if she wants/needs more.
My babe is almost 6 months and drinks 100ml-150ml every 5 hours. If bubs is gaining weight and having lots of wet nappies, dont worry.![]()
I wouldn't worry at all my DD only ever took 100-120mls right up until 15months old sometimes they just don't drink the amount it says on the tin but as long as there are plenty of wet nappies there shouldn't be a problem
