Default He is a CHILD not a DISEASE

My husband is friends with a couple that he works with. They seemed really nice, we have had them over here a few times for dinner etc. On Friday we were invited to their house for a BBQ on Saturday afternoon with some of their friends and some more people from their and DH's work. I was really looking forward to it, being a SAHM with very few actual friends the only people I get to interact with are my kids, DH and my parents. DH called them and said that we (him, me and DS2) would be there in an hour or so. I start to get ready when he comes in and says he got a text to ask us not to come because of the baby. I was absolutely floored! Of course being pregnant I got extremely upset. I couldn't believe that someone would do that. They were expecting us to leave him with someone and not bring him along. I'm so sorry that I actually like spending time with my child and didn't think he was such an inconvenience. I wish I could give them a piece of my mind but DH has to sit next to her at work every day and I don't want to make it awkward for him. I need ice cream now

It literally said "because you are bringing DS2 it would probably be better that you didn't come."

My hubby would have been furious (as would I). We probably would have gone anyway and taken the baby, and just said we didnt get the message. Actually, we probably would have got there, hubby would have done his block and we would have left. Unless there was a valid reason (such as the location prohibited children or something). But just because they didn't want a baby there?! Screw them!

Are you kidding? Work colleague or not my DF would definitely voice his opinion over something like that. And so would I.
    I'm sorry you've experienced this!
