    Default what are the rules about sending food overseas

    I want to send some vegemite to my friend in America but I heard the rules have changed
    has anyone sent food stuff overseas lately?
    does anyone know the law about sending food over to the USA? is it ok

    I read that and it makes no sense to me lol
    I must be silly? can you help me understand can I send a jar of vegemite or not? do I have to send some sort of notification??

    My mum sends the tubes of Vegemite to her girlfriend in North Carolina and there's never been an issue. She sends it at least 2-3 times a year. I'd just go for the tubes over the jars as they shatter really easily.

    I though the only foods you can't send are meat, eggs and dairy? I've sent vegemite to NY before and it's gotten through fine.

    I send my sister food to north America all the time with no probs. not Vegemite they have that, but I send a big box of tim tams, cheezels and bbq shapes.
