Default Weaning off progestrone pessaries when pregnant - When did you completely stop them?

I am curious to know when you started weaning off progesterone?, and what week you had completely stopped progesterone support? I am feeling a little nervous about stopping pessaries and have been told to start weaning off them but I need some encouragement. They are my security blanket and I know without them I wouldn't have made it this far.
    Thanks

I think I started weaning at around 10-11 weeks. Cut from 4 a day to 2 a day & then down to 1 a day. By end of week 12/early week 13 I was done. Was so glad to be finished with those pessaries!

Been thinking of you. I hope your pregnancy continues to go perfectly. It is scary coming off the meds but you can do it! xx

I'm pretty sure I stopped at around the end of the 13 week mark.. I was only on one a day but weaned myself off by having one every second day then half every second day then just stopped completely. I had a bt before weaning then one a week after coming off them and progesterone started rising by itself and stayed in normal range.

If it was up to me, I would have kept taking them as they were like a security blanket for me too and I was so scared to stop but it was all ok just as the doc said it would be.

Can you maybe ask for a few blood tests before, during and after the weaning process just to put your mind at ease that levels are ok.

    All the best :-)

    Hi Cherished
I have been reading your TTC diary and Pregnancy Diary and am so happy you finally have your little miracle growing inside you
I was exactly the same as Summastarlet. Was also on 4 pessaries a day. I was having BT's twice a week (they were my other security blanket!!) I agree that it is so so hard to give them up but do it slowly and perhaps a couple of BT's as you are doing it and after you have stopped will reassure you
