Like I said I don't really watch music videos as music is not one I my interests.

Sometimes Rage will play in the background on a Saturday morning when Dh and I would do house work.

Not long ago this song called "map of Tasmania" came on by an Australian artist.

At the time we seen it Dh and I were laughing and just thinking what the??

    It's defiantly more adult humor.
    I'm not prudish against it.

yes I still find the song funny,
but I can't say I would be thrilled if my Daughter was watching it.

Sorry to post another YouTube vid but here is the film clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcore...e_gdata_player

No we don't watch them. A load of misogynistic garbage unfortunately, completely geared towards males. Bleugh.

I love music and my kids do too, but we stay clear of the top 40 stuff, especially the videos.

A side note, to people who said they turned out fine watching music videos: do you think the type of videos now compared to 10,15 years ago etc are still the same? Nope. Do you realise how much the average age of loss of virginity has changed in the same amount of years? Kids and teens these days are being programmed to think about sex, body image and all the other innappropriate crap now because that's what they see as normal. I'd much rather (almost) any of the 80's divas as a role model than Gaga, Rhianna, Fergie and all the other "Female entertainers" of today. They're like strippers who sing.

Madonna was pretty risque. Even compared to today's standard.

It's funny though, I only ever remember her being on Rage in the middle of the night. Certainly not 9 o'clock in the morning.

Some bad ones I remember from when I was a young teen that I would say are comparable to todays (admittedly I haven't watched video clips for some years but still get the gist) -

the thong song, by some typical rap artist who sounds the same as every other
    human nature, madonna
    touch myself, divinyls
    any song by britney spears

Oh how I wish I could be a responsible parent like the rest of bub hub, but I just don't have the energy Come to think of it, when DD was 3 I took a video of her singing 'teenage dream'. Y Katy Perry along with the film clip ......

'let's go all the way tonight, no regrets, just love
We can dance until we die,
You and I will be young forever
You make me feel like I'm living a teenage drea
The way you turn me on'

    I thought it was cute.

Probably shouldn't post it on bubhub though......

we don't watch commercial TV really.... The boys watch ABC kids, or videos... if they want to watch a certain movie we'll download it, or if they want to watch something in particular (usually off ABC kids, as that's really all they know) I'll find it on ABC i-view.

I wouldn't have a clue about what music is out now. No idea. I don't listen to the radio and I don't watch music videos.

We like a lot of world music..

So no, the kids don't watch it.
