I try not to over think it to be honest, my kids watch music videos and they listen to all the lastest music. What we find offensive they truly have no idea about - I remeber when I was a young child listening to Madonna and watching her filmclip to like a virgin, I was about 7 and had no idea what she was singing about I just liked her music (and her moves) I still remember doing a dance for show and tell at school (catholic school might I add) to like a virgin I will never forget the look on the nuns faces . It was all very innocent, I truly had no idea what the song was about I just liked the music and I think the same goes for my kids.

no, but we are a triple j family here and detest all the 'popular' music that those shows play.
my son is 9yo, has an ipod loves his music.
when i asked him what his fav band was at the moment he said 'smashing pumpkins'!

    What an absolute champion!

We are a triple j fam here too, and dont have a tv (well we have a tv but left it in storage as we never watch it anyway!), so nope DD doesnt watch the video clips! But then if we had a tv we would watch rage and they generally have weird clips, not sexy ones

Oh dear I must be a bad mother.

I am guilty of allowing channel v to be on. DS1 and I were crazy dancing around the lounge room to one direction today.

I am selective though - I will turn off most Rhianna songs and other highly inappropriate songs. In saying that though, my brother thought it was funny to teach my son and his daughter how to "wiggle" to the sexy & I know it song. Needless to say, he is now a banned babysitter!

Nope not really. I guess it has more to do with the fact I dislike most music that's out these days so don't watch those sort of show, there are a few exceptions but generally meh I don't want to call you maybe.

We watch 'The Loop' as a family every sat morning!! Lol

My kids love all the songs and love dancing around being stupid!!

Any that aren't appropriate we switch channels until its finished! But TBH being a sat morn show they don't tend to show alot of 'inappropriate' clips!
