Some weekends I have channel v on but my DS has zero interest in TV and never watches it. We spend most of the day outside so it's just background music

Absolutely not. She's not allowed to listen to music that I haven't heard first and she's not allowed near the tv unless an adult is there to turn it on and select a dvd or channel.
I'm on the home computer, which has the parent block on keywords, so I can't link, but there have been many studies that link children's adversive behaviour to music videos and tv. A quick google for something like "study finds link between behaviour and music videos" will turn something up.
Her cousins of the same age listen to nothing but rap, c*ap like Beyonce and Rihanna and hip hop, and their language and behaviour is atrocious. They know s.ex positions and slang terms for body parts. They dance by stroking their privates and smacking their bums because "That's how ..... does it". It revolts me how this is considered normal for children nowdays
Go online, find a song popular with children and teens nowdays, and google the lyrics. Not such a catchy tune when it's pumping this into your six year old's head:
Cause I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it
Sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But chains and whips excite me

Hell. No.
I put on rage every Saturday morning. Ds doesn't really watch it but its there in the background. Haven't watched your link yet so ill do that now. I'm not really concerned. Music has always been controversial, and contained references to sex and drugs. Ds father listens to a lot of rap too so he has heard a lot of that, but he is careful what he chooses these days

People will forget what you have said, they will forget what you did but they will never forget how you made them feel...........
Yep, I sure do, she knows all the moves and when she watches Girls Gone Wild she flashes her nips right back.
