We all love music and I listen to a lot of the latest music. But no way no how will my kids be watching music clips on a Saturday morning while I can help it.

“When people say, "You really, really must" do something, it means you don't really have to. No one ever says, "You really, really must deliver the baby during labor." When it's true, it doesn't need to be said.”
― Tina Fey.
Come to think of it no we don't... We don't put anything inappropriate on when they're around.
Ok MAYBE the Simpsons a few times... :/
Yep. Mine do. I think there has only been once that I have change the channel for one song and it was a recent one of Rhianna's (can't remember the name). But anywho. I grew up watching them, and I'm fine.

This is true. Its something my kids have always seen ( and honestly I'm sure they have seen a lot worse) so its nothing to them. Dd1 sometimes comments how silly they look by other then that they don't really care what's happening, they are more interested in dancing around to the music lol.

Absolutely not. She's not allowed to listen to music that I haven't heard first and she's not allowed near the tv unless an adult is there to turn it on and select a dvd or channel.
I'm on the home computer, which has the parent block on keywords, so I can't link, but there have been many studies that link children's adversive behaviour to music videos and tv. A quick google for something like "study finds link between behaviour and music videos" will turn something up.
Her cousins of the same age listen to nothing but rap, c*ap like Beyonce and Rihanna and hip hop, and their language and behaviour is atrocious. They know s.ex positions and slang terms for body parts. They dance by stroking their privates and smacking their bums because "That's how ..... does it". It revolts me how this is considered normal for children nowdays
Go online, find a song popular with children and teens nowdays, and google the lyrics. Not such a catchy tune when it's pumping this into your six year old's head:
Cause I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it
Sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it
Sticks and stones may break my bones
But chains and whips excite me

I'm no prude; I happily discuss sex, conception, homosexuality, periods, contraception, STIs, you name it, and all from an early age.
But I change the station if this song comes on and my children are in the car.
And to answer the OP, I'm fine with certain video clips (like when the music channels do an 80s special) but most top 40 is inappropriate for my children.

We don't watch music vids ourselves so she never sees them anyway.
That said, I recently forced her to watch some Michael Jackson ones after I was talking about the moonwalk and her having no idea wtf it is.
