    Default Will he sell?

We are currently renting our apartment, it is a big apartment with a fantastic outside area, we are one floor under my parents and my office is on the ground floor. DD goes to kindy at the end of the street and DS goes to school a 10min drive away.

We were advised when we took it as a rental that the owner was keen to sell so we got together all our finances, managed to get to the figure we were advised was the "magic" figure and put an offer forward.

It got rejected and we put forward another offer to which the owner hasn't acknowledged. Do you see him selling to us or do we need to move on and find something else before the lease expires?

    Thanks.

Bump, if anyone has some time to give me their thoughts I'd really appreciate it, it's a great source of stress in my life at the moment.

I'd say he is having second thoughts on selling ? I'd push the agent to chase him for a response !

Please don't shoot the messenger .. he won't sell and you will have to move. You'll find something even better (yes hard to believe I know but you will) and you'll be sooo much happier. He is biding his time and in the meantime he is getting rent until the lease expires so he's as happy as a pig in you know where!

Start looking right now and don't let him play you nor waste your time anymore. His intentions are not of a nice nature. You'll find something rather quickly so get busy! Have fun leaving him in the lurch as he has done to you

Thank you and no shooting the messenger at all, your honesty is appreciated and probably just what I needed to hear. We hoped he would come around but I dare say it was just wishful thinking.

    Thank you both for answering.

An interesting update. The owner has contacted us saying he wants to sell but he's put forward quite a high price given the current market and other factors. We are going to try and discuss it with him as at least he's now interested in selling but we can't match the figure he mentioned unfortunately.
