they aren't retiring, they are taking up 'creative' roles which is good I suppose but i am seriously bummed that we will still have to look at Anthony, he just weirds me out - and it looks like i'm not the only one!

I just told my eldest and he did the lip raise. I guess they have got to retire at some stage, but with Greg only just coming back and now retiring, sounds a bit weird to me. Surely he must be getting royalties out of it, otherwise what the???!

And yeh I definately agree about the reference to hi5. My kids lost interest after the originals were replaced, so I imagine this will happen with the wiggles.

TBH if I were their age and had their wealth I would probably want to hang up the skivy as well.

Not surprising really, the last few years they have been crap and I know my kids are sick of the constant repeats on abc2. It's the same stuff over and over again.

Better that they retire as a group than with the stand in Sam. Sam was only ever temporary, until Greg's fatigue became easier to manage., and quite frankly he wasn"t even half the entertainer that Greg was.

They're all old and have families now. A pity to see them hang up the skivvies though.

They've been my fav band since they started out, and FYI Anthony is a GREAT guy...although we're distantly related, so I'm kinda biased.

My 2 year old will watch an entire hour long dvd of the wiggles with sam in it, he looses interest after 15 minutes with their older songs ... maybe their old sings aren't as good or something idk hey but to boot sam so greg can have 'one more year' is pretty cruel to the kids who love the wiggles imho.

jees, what a BIG suprise Anthony is staying... NOT. And yes, agree, they could have just left sam there.. and replaced the others... he could have still stayed on or at least be put back in.....

BUT.... doesn't matter... looks like i'm hanging up my kids wiggles dvd's too. They certainly won't be watching anymore of it.

I think they may possibly fizzle out in the future now. Sadly alot of the time when things change they just lose a large fan base. Like me cheering this morning at the Thomas that I remember was on tv not the new animated junk!

Ergh! Anthony is a **** and I can't stand all the spin offs involving his kids! I cringe to think how messed up those kids will be as teenagers/adults!

Way to hang Sam out to dry - I'm just sitting back waiting for Sam to dish all the dirt on them!!!!

Can someone explain why no ones surprised Anthony is staying? I don't know anything about the wiggles controversy (except the Sam thing)
