I think for some people just reading the words rape, assault etc can be triggers.

I used to work in child protection and am now a foster carer...and seriously - there are things like this happening right here , right now. And it is hidden so well. Not only by the perpetrators , but it is such a widely unspoken thing.

It makes me so mad hearing about things like the TIME magazine cover about breastfeeding etc or when Mum's are judging each other about different parenting styles and choices , when there are so many children who are being abused and neglected..

Let us have this as a reminder to stop obsessing over other people's parenting styles and choices , and start stepping it up for the kids who don't have a competent parent and are going through such horrific things daily.
