Hi, My partner and I live in the wollongong area and have been together for just over a year, he went through a messy break up, and is having trouble with his ex, as well as his two boys (8 & 6 respectively) and i know like me he doesn't have a lot of friends whom he can catch up with, have a drink on the weekend along with a BBQ, either here at our place or wherever! And was just wondering if there were any dad's in the gong who i guess are looking for some new people, to be friends with.....my partner absolutely loves his motorbike and riding, his league (a parra fan), cars, getting out and doing things, his music and concerts (he plays guitar) I guess he is your average guy......if you would be interested in a new friend......let me know and i can pass on some sort of contact details....like facebook or something.

Im not in that area but like ur fella i also dont have many friends. Has he tried joining any sort of clubs that he has an interest in. Im melbourne there are heaps of different clubs to join and after a while you get to know people.
It can be tough but you need to start by putting urself out there

Yeah thats both our problems, we are both very shy, so its hard for either of us to just walk up to people and strike up a conversation.... thats why i was hoping that maybe finding someone on a site like this would be a good start lol i guess we are both just big fraidy cats lol

If only we lived there! DF is from Syd and moved to Melb when bubs was born almost a year ago and still hasn't made any friends down here. It sucks cos I lost a heap when DD was born so friends for us are far and few between!
