Default Feels like my back is breaking :(

I am 30 weeks almost 31 with my first, my lower back is hurting so bad it feels like some one has kicked me in the back with steel cap boots! I can't do anything but lay on my side,
    Any helpful tips or remedies??
Ideally if any one has a time machine so I could just be cuddlen my baby would be much appreciated, if not some handy tips to make things bearable?

See a chiropractor!! One that practices the Webster technique if you can!

A physio can help, a support belt too, heat packs, a bath, prenatal massage

Heat packs all the way, they've been a life saver throughout this pregnancy. Also I heard from someone that backaches during pregnancy could be due to lack of calcium? So maybe try upping your calcium intake

Physio..l suffered throughout my pregnancy with lower back pain. I was in tears every day. I avoided seeing a physiotherapist because I didn't think it'd help but it did. The first lady I saw was crap but the second lady was amazing. She massaged my back, used a tens machine on me and showed me some exercises to do at home. Within a few days I was a different person.
    Good luck x

I was going to a chiropractor at the beginning but I have stoped working so can't really afford to go any more, I am struggling to do any house work without having to lay down I'm just so over it right now

Do u know the position of bubs? If you are experiencing terrible back pain that may indicate that baby is posterior (spine against your spine). In general you want to watch your posture at home. Avoid slouching, reclined positions! This puts extra load on your back and pelvic joints (which u don't need right now).
If money is an issue then I would suggest heat and arnica gel/cream to help with any joint inflammation and muscle spasm. Fisocream is fantastic and is completely natural and safe to use during pregnancy. Light massage may offer some relief too.
Even if you seek massage, Chiro or physio just a few times it may be all you need.
I'm a Chiro in Brisbane and I wish I could offer help but I noticed you are in NSW.

Thanx, I find laying on my side is the only thing that helps, I go to see my midwife on Friday I'll find out what position his in, heat packs are working wonders though!

I see my chiropractor fortnightly and have a massage fortnightly rotated. The pain is awful and I have about 2hrs sleep a night since 15 weeks now 30 weeks. I carry a heat pack everywhere I go. 10 weeks to go and I don't think my back will hold out.
