Default Do you Boycott any products, stores ect.

I'm interested to know if anyone boycotts certain stores, products, TV shows, anything really.

After reading a few blogs ect online as to why some decide to boycott has really got me thinking about how many things out there people decide to boycott and the reasons for it.

I would be really interested to know what you boycott and the reasons why.
Also when boycotting certain products(like every day nesesities) which product did you switch to?

only buy local wa milk & bread. only buy free range.
try to buy as much local and organic produce as possible.

avoid coles/woolworths as much as i can, don't like the whole corporate takeover thing! for the same reason i don't buy homebrand as often it pushes small primary and secondary producers out of business.

I now boycott the 7pm project after an obnoxious response (basically im the only one with an issue) to my complaint regarding the use of the word **** etc during a program that's on that early at night. Im not a prude but when that kind of language is used at the same time "in the night garden" airs and during a "news" program I have issues.

Coles/woollies has been something I have seen a lot of when it comes to boycotting in Australia!

I would really love to start becoming more aware and educated on things like this.

I avoid all products that use GMO plus also any companies that are mentioned in the shop ethical app ( tells you which products/companies to boycott) eg; Lindt chocolate is ethical but Nestlé definitely not!

I boycott Harvey Norman because as a national company I think they are a disgrace.

I boycott cage eggs or "free range barn eggs" because barn eggs are just from chooks who are kept in this big warehouse/barn kind of thing - still not free range.

I either purchase organic meat, or buy from my butcher.

There are a few other things but my brain is baby fried lol.

    Any Playboy merchandise
Often a lot of the 'label' stuff. LV bags (other than the fact I think they are ugly lol), prada/chanel stuff. It's often really average looking stuff, but people seem to buy it bc it has the name.
Aldi when I lived in the city lol hated the staff, and goods being stacked on crates. No range. Fruit/veg and dairy was revolting

Seriously the only ones I can think of right now are pet related.

Pet's Paradise and any of their linked chains. Pedigree dog food; most of their "adoption drive" profits go to the Lost Dog's Home, which euthanise almost every single incoming animal they get. Don Burke and any of his "designer dog" overpriced-mutt factory farm breeding programs.

Label brands like Chanel and Gucci. Anything that tests on animals but still outright lies and says they don't...ahem ahem Body Shop.
