Default What has been your worst experience at the hairdresser?

I have had so many awful experiences at the hairdresser, lol. Once my regular hairdresser forgot to check my foils and they ended up almost grey. and she was trying to convince me it looked good... yeah right!! LOL.

Don't you love how they think if they pretend it looks awesome then you won't notice!

I once had some low lights turn out purple when they were meant to be a light brown but I ended up really liking them that way.

When i went in there asking for natalie imbruglias hairstyle (think from her torn film clip era) and walked out with ellen Degeneres's masculine hair!

    Cried for months.

Got hair extensions, and when they removed them they pulled and yanked them out so hard they ripped my hair out with them, every second layer of hair now has chunks only 1.5cm long...

Honestly i think ive o ly even been happy with a haircut maybe twice in my life.

Getting streaks 15 years ago... I was absorbed in a magazine, hairdresser on the phone (unbeknownst to me she had a gambling problem and was constantly on the phone to the TAB)... Dad popped in to see how long I'd be, and informed me my hair was smoking...literally. She burned the hell out of it, it was brittle, broken and the bits left were like thin elastic, and one half was orange. And she still tried to charge full price. NEVER went back!

omg ladies... that's terrible. nothing worse when it turns out hideous. u just feel like crying... i remember once i had my hair dyed a mahogany and wanted a few blonde bits... now i dunno what the hairdresser at the time was thinking, but instead of a few blonde bits, i ended up with this platinum blonde fringe.... EXACTLY like ginger spice had her hair with the red and the blonde strip when they were spice girls... she then tried to convince me it looked ''cool''... she sort of half convinced me, but everytime i'd look at it i'd burst into tears. hahahaaa.

I was in year 7 and insisted that I wanted my outgrown permed hair to be cut like Jennifer Anistons hair which was the original 'Rachael do' at the time. Omg......bawled my eyes out.
    a. It was wayyyyy too short compared to 'Rachaels'
    b. Because it was permed 2 years earlier, it was not nice and styled, it was complete boof
    c. I was wayyyy too young to have the Rachael do

Probably the only two bad things I've had at the hair dressers was having a section of black hair bleached and ending up with scabs on my scalp! She did warn me that what we were doing was pretty hardcore though. The other was one who went a little crazy layering one side of my hair, and ended up making one side a bit mullet-y. Took a few months for that chunk to grow and be blended in.

DIY job, the worst I've done was peroxide my faded red/plum coloured hair, resulting in fluoro orange hair with super blonde roots! Off to the hairdressers the next day to get a brown semi!

I've only ever had one bad bad bad hairdo ... It happened whist the stylist was also telling the apprentice which stock to order. I don't remember him actually looking in my direction - recipe for disaster really!!

Can't say I've really had a bad experience. Yet.

I've never had a bad cut in my adulthood, I had a bad colour recently, too red!!

But the worst hairdresser experience I've had was a lady who refused to straighten my roots, so I had this kinky frizz, then dead straight. I was so mad, she then added waxy product to it. It was awful. At the time I was getting a weekly wash and blow dry, but my usual hairdresser was away. I did it myself when she was away after that and complained and got it redone by another hairdresser for free.
