    Default Crayons for toddlers

    Hi everyone,

I am looking to get some more wax crayons for DS. I bought these Faber-Castell "First Grip" crayons and they are great, but I can't find them anywhere for sale anymore :\
I would need crayons that can be easily washed out of clothes, off walls and carpet (as DS loves to draw early in the morning when mum is still fast asleep )
Also, they would have to be easy to grip as DS is only 2,5yo.

A friend of mine gave me these crayons from the Wiggles and the quality was cr@p. You had to squint your eyes to try and see the line you just drew on the paper. Not to mention that DS is exceptionally strong and snapped them in half without blinking

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

P.S. We don't have a "Toys R Us", IKEA or other large stores like that, closeby. Only a Target, Kmart and Big W.

Crayola do the thick crayons for little people, my 22 month old has no issues using them. They wash out too

What about the wind up crayons like a pen/pencil to hold and just wind down when needed , the drawing quality on them is great. I think they are from crayola and called twistables.

I was googling Crayola and found so many different crayons, it's not funny!
So would I be getting the "Jumbo" wax crayons then?

mumof3monkeys, those twistables sound good, but how easy are they to grip for little hands?

We only discovered a couple of yrs ago but the prep teacher when dd1 was starting school told us to buy the pencil grips for little ones fingers worked a treat for us as they just slid right on, I got a pack of I think 12 pencil grips for $3 from the stationary shop and they did great. Those jumbo crayons sound good though but I haven't seen them before

Yep jumbo wax crayons by Crayola DD1 didn't have an issue with them when she was smaller and Dd2 has no issues with them now at 22 months.

DS loves early start soft triangle crayons. We got them from spot light but you can buy them off the net. Lots of on line shops sell them. They have some great stuff. You can find everything on their website http://www.micador.com.au/products.a...yname--Drawing
