    Default Family assistance office..

Well I'm trying to update my tax for this financial year because a lot has changed (our income has gone down dramatically)
Can't use the Internet right now as our computer is being fixed.
Don't really want to try do it all off my iPhone.

I have been trying to call the number provided ALL MORNING!! And it's engaged! Wtf?
I have been trying since 8am this morning... Starting to get fed up!!
The number I have is 136150.

It's just for the family tax benefit, we don't claim anything else.

Do I just keep calling this number until I finally get through?
Or can I call a different number.

    Getting very stressed right now!!!

When I couldn't get through I would call up a different number and claim I must have been confused, could they put me through. I would always get this immediate dead tone from the FAO number.

Just do it off your iPhone - you can make the print bigger so it's easier to read

No unfortunately.. Hubby is away from work and has the car.

Our local Centerlink office is a 30min drive away lol. So I can't walk either.

I'm thinking I might just walk down to the shops when dd wakes up and use the Internet kiosks.

I got a letter from them on friday saying I needed to update my income.
Then yesterday I got one saying I needed to update and them having a rant about how i hadn't and i needed to do it before the 14th of June.. Which was Monday??

    What a stuff about!
Seems to be more hassle then it's worth right now lol.

I'll try calling a different number.

I'll use my iPhone as a last resort lol!
This is where an I pad would come in handy

They have a customer relations 1800 050 004. Call that one. Lodge a complaint about the engaged signal and update your estimate.

I had to call them yesterday and it was engaged all morning until about 12.30. When it finally rang I was on hold for just under an hour. Apparently they are really short staffed and because of the different time zones its better to call in the afternoon when there are more people to answer the calls.
