Thanks for your responses so far! Eva has been our number 1 for a while but wanted some feedback on it so that helps. Do you think Eva is the name we should use & use Evie as a nickname? or is Evie ok to use as a proper name or is it too nicknamy?

I wouldnt go scarlett rose even though I love the name... Scarlett = red = red rose. But that's just me and how fussy I am!
Eva rose and layla rose are both beautiful.

I LOVE Evie and Eva. My dd is Ava and people ask me all the time if her name is spelt with an 'e'. Like that actress 'eva mendes' . Her name is pronounced 'ayva'. To me if it's Eva it's 'eeva' and Ava is 'ayva' ... I guess it's just how you pronounce it though! Sorry I'm getting off topic!!
Personally, with our Ava we call her Avi as a nickname and I think you just generally go for the 'ie' names for nicknames. But I do know an Evie and think its a beautiful name! Sorry I'm not much help at all!!
