Default How long will I feel like this before going into labour?

I know it's different for everyone... but I'm wondering how long you ladies felt like this (and if you felt like this) before going into labour... I'm so uncomfortable and I'm hoping it means labour is close and I won't have weeks of feeling this way...

I've been having period like cramps for the last 4-5 days on and off and today I've been getting the occasional sharper twinge with them... increasing braxton hicks over the last few days, however today they have been constant - not painfull, not regular, just heaps and a hot shower or doing housework or walking etc hasn't stopped them... the front of my pelvis feels like it's spliting in 2... i've got heaps of pressure in my vagina and it hurts to stand up or sit down...

I'm totally exhausted but hungry lol... and have been to the toilet 3 times today (sorry TMI) for #2...

    I'm 37 weeks tomorrow...

Mine went on for weeks! I seriously thought I was in labor so many times! Everytime I walked I had the worst Braxton hicks ever! And that horrible sharp pain in my vagina!!! My god that was the worst!

I got the same thing from 35 weeks.
They think it was prodromal labour as my "Braxton hicks" didn't disappear after I had a shower or vacuumed for example.
I went into labour right on 38 weeks.
    11 hour labor.
    Had my beautiful baby boy.

They think all the contractions and being uncomfortable prepared my cervix quicker than a normal first time labor as at 5am I was 2cm then at 8am I was 10cm
