For us we had the tommee tippee yellow ones (not sure on correct name sorry ) we gave it a good go but as pp's have said it was stinky! Very very stinky! Even with extra twists to tie up the poo nappies, the cartridges only lasted roughly a fortnight and were between $15-$20 depending on where we shopped, specials etc. Which for some glorified plastic bags expensive in our eyes. Once full was quite heavy to carry to outside bin and tip out, especially whilst preg with #2 . We after a few months went back to cheap nappy sacks poo ones chucked on veranda till normal rubbish got emptied at night.

I've only ever used nappy sacks, and never once felt I was missing out

My nappy bin is sitting in the garage... We hated it! I use nappy sacks all the time instead

I bought one when I was pregnant with DS1 and I thought it was great for when he was little and I was using the change table, but as soon as I stopped using that, I stopped using the nappy bin.
I will be using it for a while with DS2

We had a swing top bin with a scented garbage bag. Was emptied every night.

We used to many nappies to have anything fancy.
