Default Did consecutive births get quicker for you?

Obviously, everyone is different as we all know.

BUT - I was just wondering for those with 2 or more if labour was quicker for you with each bubba? We are expecting no. 3 any day now and as my first was 5 hours 15 mins and the 2nd only 3 1/2 hours I'm expecting an intensely quick (hopefully) 3rd time around?!!!

Would love to hear your stories

My first was 60 hrs from spontaneous break of waters till birth (hospital). My second was 3hrs 47 mins from spontaneous break of waters to birth (planned home water birth).
My first was posterior but my second was anterior (I did lots to ensure optimal positioning). I also used evening primrose oil religiously (internally from 35 weeks). I had NO contractions prior to my waters breaking and I was already 5 cm dilated. It was an intense birth but the most empowering experience of my life!!!!

Yep. My first was 7 hours from first contraction- I went from 0 to 5cm in 30 minutes. Epidural slowed it down though. Second was 2 hours from first contraction- 45 minutes from 4cm to birth.

Am pregnant with number 3 now and hoping for another easy quick experience!

    DS1 5hours
DS2 20min! (well, I had mild contractions for around an hour beforehand, but from my first intense contraction to the time he was born was only 20min, we only just made it to hospital)
DS3, will find out in October, don't think he can come much quicker then DS2 though!
