Default 7 weeks, 2 days and severe tonsillitis

    Hey guys,

I had a tingle in my throat last night and just slept for 3-4 hours only to wake up in severe pain. I know I have heard u can not take much while pregnant but also worry the virus will affect the baby??

    Can anyone HELP?

Can remember in the paperwork i got from obstetrician that you can have pencillian, panadol and panadeine.

Try gargling with some salt water too as often as possible, drink as much fluid as possible as it will flush the tonsils and get rid of the infection quicker.

I don't think any cough lollies are safe to take either as lot of them have menthol that has not been proven safe in pregnancy, but i have tried gargling dissolve able panadol to help numb the throat.

I had this last year with a BFP but sadly miscarried, but it was hell never felt so sick in a long time. The salt water and drinking water even though it hurt was what got me through it.

Also try and not let your temperature get too high

    Hope you feel better

I had tonsillitis at the same time u did with my last Preg!
Augmentin duo forte is the safest antibiotic! And take paracetamol every 6 hours to fight fever! Fevers are what will harm baby! So stay on top of them! Rest and fluids
