    Default T box

I'm thinking about getting a Telstra
t-box? Does anyone have one? Are they any good?

I have one and while it's awesome for some things, it's a pain for others. It was sold to us with the promise of an afl channel- that turned out to be old games, never new, as with the other 'bigpond' channels. The recording is great, so is the pausing live tv etc. movies was good for awhile but updating card details through the Telstra site is a PAIN, and we have just gone back to renting DVDs from the shop. I suppose it is good, I am just tired of its ... Issues. Don't rush into it

Ours is ok. Not great just ok. When we first got it it played up a lot. We were constantly turning it off and on again. It would freeze, the sound would go on it, we would set it to record something and it wouldn't etc. We ended up sending our first one back and getting a new one. In fact we know 3 people who did this as they had the same problem.

The only bigpond channels we watch is the music one BPM and sometimes movie extra. But if your Internet connection isn't that great it will be a pain as the channels will keep freezing.

It is good for somethings like hiring movies. We get a movie nearly every second weekend depending whats on. And unlike a new release from a video shop that you have to give back the next day, the movies on the tbox last for 3days (I think).

So yeah I don't love it but I dont mind it either
If I think I can figure things out, is that curiosity or arrogance?

Ive got both Tbox and Foxtel. Telstra pretty much just shoved it in our faces. We set it up but havent touched it since. Just prefer Foxtel

Don't like it. Used it abit for movies when we first got it it...then started having lots of issues with it. Sent it back and Telsta sent us a new one...have barely used it since.
