When am i supposed to have my test? My UTD book says bloods at 11 weeks and a scan at 12 weeks is this right?

im 10 weeks now and im worried i will miss my dead line

Depends on your OB and place you are getting it done. I'm having my scan and bloods done next Thursday when I'll be 12+3.
My OB told me between 11 and a half to 13 and a half weeks.

I just found this,

NT scans are performed between 11 to 13 weeks + 6 days of pregnancy. Blood for the maternal biochemical test, done as part of the combined test, is taken between 9 and 13 weeks + 6 days.

diamond thats what my book says but my mummy told me they are supposed to be done on the same day.

No not necessarily, as I said above depends where and who does it.

my dr told me to do the bloods 2-3 days before the scan....

like mum2be09 said, depends where you go. For me after having 5 NT scans I have bloods done at 10 weeks and scan at 12weeks as ordered by the person scanning You will find many variations. BUt not out of the 10-13 weeks window.

I was told to have my bloods taken a week before my scan that way when i go in to my doctors she will have the results of both and my risk would of been calculated.

I was told to have the bloods and the scan done on the same day...apparently it's more accurate that way (although it does then mean waiting for the results to come back).

I think we had ours done just before 12 weeks...the window was roughly 11-13 weeks.
