Flock Calling....

I just feel completely overwhelmed by Yoshi (Quaker) and Yoda (Sun Conure)'s flock calling today. It is just grating more on my nerves than any typical day do you ever feel like this? What do you do to block them out? We have a bird-room for them, so we can shut the door, but anyone with a Conure or larger can understand that walls seem invisible when it comes to noise :'( I feel so awful for being so annoyed with them, they just want to be with me.....

I know how u feel! I used to have Quakers, very noisy, probably best to keep in an aviary. I also work with alot of parrots so eventually u just drown out the noise lol

Have you tried diverting their attention and keeping them entertained? I find that my Grey doesn't make a sound if he's really busy.

I buy foraging toys, fill them with high desire foods and hand them as awkwardly as possible. He has a little tv that I put a dvd on, you can buy it on ebay. It's long video of different parrots, rainforest scenes, POV flying clips, stuff like that. His day flight cage is also near a sunroom window, and we set up a bird garden outside the window so he sits there and clicks at the flocks that come down to bathe and eat.

He's pretty quiet {most of the time } since we did that, and we also rotate his toys on a daily basis, adding a new one every month.
