I'm after any info, advice, help - anything. Bombard me!
My beautiful baby boy was admitted to the paediatric ICU yesterday with severe diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). He's still very unwell, but slowly improving and has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.
I have a bit of knowledge about diabetes because of someone who was once close to me, but know nothing about very young children with it. I have tried researching, but it always seems to be older kids (although my research hasn't been thorough...still in hospy so only have my phone).
Do any hubbers have young children with diabetes? He will have insulin injections and finger pricks every day for the rest of his life now and I would love some advice on doing this with a one-year-old. We start our education classes on Monday, but some personal experiences would be great![]()
