Oh yeah because cows milk for a child is better then the milk their mother created especially for them.

How is cows milk not considered weird!!?? I personally find it more revolting that people actually drink that crap.

The first picture doesnt sit right with me. I personally don't like it, it weird and creep and she looks like she is desperately trying to make a point.
The second one I have no issue with.
Its not so much "shocking" to me as a bit off. I don't care what WHO says.
If you want to feed your kid till they are 10 I don't care I just don't need to see it.
Personally I think parents who breastfeed kids past say 3-4ish do it more for their own reasons rather then the child's. This isn't Africa, there is plenty of nutrician outside of your boob.
I know I know I will get 400 links as to why Im wrong and I might be wrong but it's how I feel.

I don't like what they have done with the cover & title nor agree with breast feeding a child of that age

    And that would matter becauseeeeee??

I know plenty of women who formula feed from birth and beyond for their own reasons. I take no issue with this whatsoever.

Why does everyone feel they need to express their opinions on what other parents do or don't do?
I wouldn't feel comfortable breast feeding my kids at that age, but that is for me. If another mother wants to breast feed her 21 yr old, who the hell am I to say it's wrong.

Because I think it's wrong. I think breast feeding a 5 year old is not right.
If you are going to continue to do it then of course the children will think its normal. I watched that documentary about those 8 year olds being breastfeed that was not normal to ME. An 8 year old asking her mother to pull out her boob so she can have a drink is not normal for ME.
There are plenty of people who think formula is plain wrong and that fine.
Im just giving you my opinion which in the big world counts for jack.
    You do whatever you want.

And yes I'm all for breastfeeding I did it myself.
And no I have nothing against feeding a 2 year old.

Umm cause we are discussing the pictures in the OP.
And people will have different opinions.
Isnt that the point of the chat sections on bubhub.
I didn't go into pro breastfeeding and start stating my opinions when I was not asked to do so.

However I dont think there is anything wrong with bf your 3 year old.

The photo was done purely for shock value, if that child was nursing in his mums lap it wouldnt have got such a massive response.

    Its definitely not 'revolting'.
I agree with this post. Breastfeeding is such a loving gentle thing, and yet the photo looks really detached and cold.
