you know what? I am sooooo over these fricken debates.
I am SICK of people harping on about how if a mother breastfeeds her child for longer than 2 bloody minutes...they are all in it for themselves and its all sexualised.
I breastfed my kids for 30 months and 39 months.Did I have a choice? NO.I tried to wean..but to me it wasnt worth all the drama of crying and fighting them off...and sometimes I just wanted an extra hours sleep at 5am so I let them have boob.
Yea it was totally all for my sake, and I got off on it every time
I am SO over people not understanding it.Yeah, you couldnt feed YOUR child....DO NOT project your own sick, twisted thoughts onto everyone else that could!

Who is this aimed at? Who has said all this stuff about not being able to feed their own kids, and it being s*xualised?

I'm not trying to rehash everything. I just feel that maybe some people are thinking that comments made in the online article were being made here too.

I do agree I've seen lots of rude comments here at the Hub about extended bfing... often said passive aggressively, but still rude.

I definitely agree with that IRL. I just hadn't seen it here in this thread.

And I don't think it's nice to hit out at those who couldn't BF either. I don't think that's relevant. Plenty of people who couldn't BF still support extended feeding, and plenty who did BF don't support it.
