For what it's worth, this is what extended breast feeding really looks like to the person that matters - the mother who's feeding them.
We don't see their long legs, their big boy (or girl) clothes, the fact they could be eating steak. Not for our own selfish benefit, you can't force a toddler to breast feed any more than you can force them to eat broccoli.(and frankly I don't want the teeth of an angry toddler that close to my nipple!)
And yes one day they will be 14, but it's not the same thing at all. One day they will be 26, 40, 85. But right now they are little.
And it's not for everyone. And that's okay too.
But it's certainly not disgusting. Not at all

I took one pic of DS breastfeeding as a toddler...feeding whilst picking his nose at the same time. The PPs who mentioned that breastfeeding isn't always a magical, special time are so right!
