I don't think the headline and text underneath is intended to convey anything negative about formula feeding.
I think it's the opposite. It's saying that longterm feeders are extreme.
I definitely think that what people's decisions are to feed their child are exactly that, THEIRS and shouldn't be judged.
Even though I didn't like the "mum enough" comment (as purely by looking at the pic - havent read the article as I only have the interwebs on my phone - and the statement it reads as "If you dont do this youre not mum enough") I really liked the pic itself.
I actually wonder how much of my bitterness against the statement has to do with my jealousy of being able to breastfeed.

At first when I saw it I was OMG.
Not sure why - I support a mothers right to BF'd until the child is ready to wean.
I went into BFing with the honest and determined belief that I would be finished when DS was 6mo. It didn't happen - it was more of a comfort thing for him especially when he was teething.
He gave it up when he was 12mo.
The women in the article was BF'd until 6 so it's normal for her.
I was more surprised about the flippant statement saying she BF'd him at the Playboy Mansion.
