    Positives:
    ~ only have to toilet train once.
    ~ One lot of school uniforms/supplies etc
    ~ Cheaper: dont have to buy so much clothing/food/toys etc etc
    ~ You can focus and give all your attention to the one child.
    ~ dont have the sibling jealousy

    After dd1 I was happy with just one child. It took me a looooooong time to decide I wanted another. lol

    Its so nice to actually hear from people who teach older single kids.. All I hear from people is only children are spoilt
    Its also nice to hear what no today eg.. Push them so much.. I shall keep that in mind!

    I should mention I'm an only child as well. And I have to agree that I have a very close friendship with my friends. I'm also not competitive with my friends and contempories which is apparently another trait of only children. I'm not sure how much truth there is to that statement, however it makes sense and look.. I'll take any compliment handed out freely
