Tell them you're on antibiotics for something?

Sparkling apple juice and mineral waters or a claim to be on AB's.

Iced-tea looks like rum and scotch.
    Smoothies look like daiquiri's.
Appletiser and grapetiser look like wine.
Plain coke could be anything lol.
Or palm your drinks off to your partner when no ones looking.

Otherwise I would go with the antibiotics story.

Tell them you are taking 'metrogyl or flagyl' they are one of the only antibiotics that you can't drink with. They are often used for infections of the gut, ie; gastro!

Or tell them you are doing a detox.

I would offer to 'help' your friend make the cocktails then you will have more chance to mix your own non alcoholic drinks.

The antibiotic defence works a treat - I used it for a hens/cocktail night so I didn't miss out. I just got mocktails made for me.

Or just hold onto the drink, pretend to take the occasional sip with out really drinking any, tip out as and when you can, put down your drink and pick up someone else's empty glass etc.
