Even in foster care siblings are kept together as far as possible these days. I can't imagine the family court supporting that decision. I would never, ever allow my children to be split up at such a young age.

I highly doubt he will get what he wants, it sounds ridiculous anyway. Like the others said, document everything, and get proper legal advice. All the best.

Good luck separating twins!! No way in hell family court will allow that. As PPs have said the focus is always on what's best for the children- not their dad!! I very much doubt he will be able to find a legal precedent for separating siblings. I've been through FLC twice and done loads of research myself- and I've never heard of this. Keep a diary, save all messages and emails etc and start mediation proceedings. All the best!!

As someone has said, they are children, not assets to be split. Good luck. I think he is kidding himself & not thinking about the children's best interest at all.

    Think it's a bad idea.

Being seperated from my older sister when I was younger caused a lot of issues when I was a child and my whole personality changed.

My older sister is my half sister. Her mother disappeared when she was younger and my father brought her up. Then married my mother and had me, it was my parents and my older sister. Then when I was 4 or 5 after my younger sister was born my older sister left to live with her mother. Apparently it was a big issue for me as a child and they sent me to psychologists etc.

I think children should be kept together especially if their young and don't understand what's going on. It's hard enough for them to loose regular contact with a parent than to loose a sibling too.

I think it is an awful idea. I would sooner die than let my boys be split up
