Default Where to go for an awesome family holiday? :D

After pondering different mini getaways we've decided to wait until mid next year and put as much money as we can towards an awesome family holiday before we start TTC no 3.

We've been thinking two weeks in Bali, private villas, exotic sights and a great cultural experience. But some friends who have been have commented that they would never take small kids there (we'll have a 19 month old and a five year old). I'm going to keep looking into it but would love other options too.

Where would you suggest for an awesome family holiday? Budget will be about 7k.

    Would love suggestions

Thailand? They love kids in Thailand and you could probably get all of the above.

Other option is Fiji or Vanuatu - really kid friendly too!

Thailand!! Bali has apparently gone downhill a lot - I've never been there but a lot of people who would go to Bali frequently have started to go to Thailand instead because Bali just isn't the same apparently. I'd never go to Bali personally, but DF and I are going to Thailand in Sept for our familymoon

I've been to Thailand and quite liked it but we're planning on renewing our vows there in a few years (our wedding went so very very badly!!) so might save it till then.

Fiji and Vanuatu I've heard can be a little unsafe to explore? Don't know how right that is though.

DH has even suggested going to Yosemite, San Francisco and down the Californian coast. I'm not convinced yet though

That's exactly what the friends of ours have said re Bali. No idea how true it is though...

Enjoy Thailand! Where are you going? Visit the similan islands if you're close enough. So beautiful

Fiji! It's SO family friendly. It's also not too expensive, not too far and you can also get all inclusive packages at many of the resorts.

We go to Bali at least once a year, with our kids.
DS was four and DD was 15 months when we first took them. It's a great family holiday
If you've never been however I'd suggest going with someone else that had been, or getting as much advice as possible before you go.

We're headed back in June. Love Bali!

Hawaii! I wouldn't take little kids to Bali or Thailand either plus better shopping in Hawaii!

Figi definitely!!! It's so family friendly and the people are awesome! I took my 18 month old to Thailand and it was the worst. Bali was good but not as family orientated as Figi!
