    Default Pregnancy Multi Vitamins

    Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone here has any recommendations for pregnancy/conception multi vitamins. I just finished off a box of the Blackmoores multi and found that the tablet (there was a tablet and capsule to take each day) was really bad smelling and repeats badly on me even if I have it with a meal.

Does anyone have any brands that they recommend?

Elavit. A very popular one from the pharmacy. Our IVF dr recommends it.

I have been ttc for close on three years and only ever taken Elevit. Although, I have heard great things in another thread about Swiss pregnancy multi. Providing it has Folic acid and Iodine you'll be good. Compare the information on the packs.

Blackmores not bad... It has fish oil (no fishy after taste) in it and you now can get vanilla tasting capsules ...

I love my Natures Own Pregnancy Platinum prenatals. They are a little soft so they are easy to swallow.

DP went around the chemist after we got our BFP and compared all of the brands for ages and that was the one he chose

My doc recommends elevit with iodine. I also take osteovit D, as I'm low in vitamin D and doc also recommended it. I've ha no probs with it. My doc said not to take any fish oil as it can lead to blood clots..

I ended up going with Elevit(sp?) I spent about 20 mins in the chemist comparing products and price ect, it ended up being the better of what they had and worked out better budget wise. I will try a bigger chemist next time I need some and have another look then. I am also going to the dr in the next week for a checkup and pap so will ask her advice as well.
