I always laugh at the term 'professional gambler', such an oxymoron.

    Professional gambler? That's funny.

I believe it when it comes to playing poker, maybe. That does take a bit of skill. But a professional lotto ticket buyer? Yeah..good luck to him Next time, get a real profession.

I'm tempted to buy a ticket, but I know the odds of me finding $1mil on the streets is greater are greater than winnning...

I brought a ticket just one $14 I figure you have to be in it to win it. I would hope that the person who wins is someone like me (or me ) and actually needs the money with one true lucky ticket.

Given that no one in the whole country won last week, $2000 worth of tickets is still veeerrrryyy long odds. My $7 quickpick should get the job done though .....but don't worry, I'll shout you all a glass of Bollinger, or 10.

Well thank you so much! I was sitting here stewing over the fact that I hadn't bought a ticket, and was trying to plan a trip to the shops just to get one even though I'm unwell. Now I have my ticket and I'm still nice and cosy

There is a gold coast man who wins quite a bit... But he was already a multi-millionaire, and I don't want to know what he spends on tickets...

maybe it was someone buying a systems or for syndicate though.
My friends all put in $200 each to go into a group of 10 to get a systems which gives you heaps of tickets and therefore higher odds to win.

My husband and I have spent aprox $200 on tickets for this lotto draw, its not uncommon at all.

2 of my girlfriends were in a syndicate that one first division of $1.2million last month, and they are all taking home $100k or so. I would be very content with that!
