    Default Obstetrician in Newcastle???

    Hello everyone,

So just found out that we are 5 weeks pregnant with a little IVF miracle and need to look at getting an OB organised.

Any suggestions on a good private OB in Newcastle??

    Thanks

Maybe speak to your IVF specialist about a recommendation? My gyne/IVF specialist provided me with a list of OBs she highly recommended at various private hospitals - really helped a lot!

I see Jillian Spilsbury in the medical suites at Newcastle Private. She is really good has ultrasounds in her rooms but ,she books out really fast.

I saw Ljiljana Miljkovic - Petkovoc. Also at the medical suites Newcastle. She was Fabulous for me with both my babies. One of the differences with her and others is that she actually delivered both my babies. No stand in over weekends and that was really important to me. Feel free to pm me if you want to know more. good luck with your decision.

Just to add - Ljiljana also does US in her rooms. But will most likely send you to Lingard for the 19 week scan. She has a midwife who works with her (each visit you see both of them) which I really liked because it gives you an opportunity to ask her questions as well.

I was going to suggest Dr Ljiljana - my sister had her last year and loved her. She did miss the birth of my nephew though as it happened quite quickly but was there not long after.

I'm seeing Oliver Brown at the moment and he's great! Very nice and down to earth. Does US at each visit but had to go upstairs to Jillian Spillsbury's rooms for the morph scan.

Ive heard great things about all the OB's mentioned on here so far. Just to throw another name in there- I had Dr Glen Lowe for boh my children. He's also located in the medical suites at NPH. Totally recommend him too- actually 8/10 people I talk to about OB's have had him or are currently seeing him now! He's very popular lol

Grebbeci I'm so incredibly happy for you. ( sorry stalker much) I remember you from other IVF posts.
    Yay for a sticky bub!!
I went to Dr Oliver Brown and he was fantastic like pp said very down to earth and funny. He delivered bubs 3 days before Xmas. Had to have morph scan at lingard though. Which didn't worry us coz we got to see the nurses again from Genea.
I wish you all the best and hope you have a smooth pregnancy.

Jillian Spillsbury. Have ivf miracle bub with her also. Was also open to how I wanted to birth the baby. I wanted elective cs and she listened to me and my reasons.
