I have a boy called Henry. And if this nxt baby is a boy I wanted to name him William.... But DH mentioned this morning that it's off limits cos they are Princess Di's boys' names! I hadn't even thought if that. Oops

Their names are William and Harry, so you can still use William

You learn something new everyday lol

I'm always very mindful of what a name could be used as by other kids when their at school eg Bart the Fart or Kelly the Smelly. I liked the names Thaine and Rick when preg with my second but then it was Thaine the Pain and Rick the...well you get the idea lol

I may carry on the Lea... However, I will teach my children what a hyphen is!!!

This reminds me of a something I read where a husband asked his wife what a friend had called their baby. She replied 'Bethany-Anne, with a hyphen.' The husband says, "I quite like Bethany Anne, but where did they get Witherhyphen from?"

I wanted Connor for DS (big terminator fan) but DH hated it. As he did my other favourites, malakai and elijah, poo to him

We also stay clear of the different spelling in names.

    Argh, so many!

First up, I'm one of those fussy ones who can't do strange spelling or hyphens (I suffer both). So it knocks out a great number.

J's - I'm a J (Jaime-lee), so was Dad (James) & DD (Jacinta). Loved the name Jackson but too close to Jacinta; James is also DP's dad's middle name (bad relationship) so I'll have to beg to ever use it as a middle name; Joel is DP's middle name; Jake is stepbrother's name - it goes on.

Other no-no's include: Matthew (my ex's name), Emma (DP's ex), Maria or Mariah (DP's ex's child), and basically anyone else we know who we don't like or who we do like but has the same name
