    I agree.

    Naming a child when you're 19 is a really stupid idea. lol.

    That said, I take great comfort in the fact it's plainly spelt - Chanel. Not Schanelle or Channel (are people stupid? That's not even the same word... that's like Channel 10!) or Channelle or whatever.

    At least her name is an actual noun... chanel is canal in French.

    Some of the names I think are nice. They just become bogan when people change the spelling lol. What the hell is emmasyn? It's a boys name for starters lol!

    As said above it is just the different spelling that looks like they really had no idea how to spell the name they liked so just made it up. Sorry if that is offensive.

    I don't understand the obsession with inserting random 'y's in names. It's kind of amusing though.

    It's originally a boys name. It has become popular as a girls name since Teri Hatcher used it for her DD. Any name ending in 'son' means 'son of' and is a male name.
