    Hi,

The black beads are normal. I know I often saw them, but not sure about every time. Losec can take a couple of weeks to work, so hang in there, it will hopefully improve soon. Are you seeing a paed? Have they investigated possible intolerances as well as reflux? With my DS things didn't improve til he was on Losec and a prescription formula for babies with intolerances or allergies.

    Its exhausting emotionally and physically.

i mix losec with water. if i don't wash the syringe or glass out straight away, the left over balls turn black. i figured they were changing colour when in contact with oxygen.

i breastfeed so can't help with the bottles, but understand how much it sucks when feeding (which should give them comfort) gives them pain. Hope the meds start to work and your little one feels better soon.

i am new to medicating for reflux too, i was told to do 5mg twice daily (initially 2.5mg twice daily), and so i chop the tablets and then dissolve. Wonder if giving it in couple doses would reduce symptoms over the whole day more? I was also told that the dose can be increased so if you don't see improvements ask if you can increase (or change meds).

wearing baby upright can help too (although there is a high chance of wearing eau du puke too).
