Book early! My last pregnancy in 2010 I booked at 8 wks and i found only one OB at Mater who could fit me in.

I don't have experience at Sunnybank, but Mater private is pretty good. The nurses were lovely and the facilities awesome. Food was pretty good - like a buffet with 2 options. Good thing was they fed hubby too which meant he didn't have to keep running out for meals! Having said that, I've heard lots of good things about Sunnybank too..

How far along are you? You should book urself in for a tour with both hospitals, so you can see for yourself what the facilities are like.

Sunnybank! I chose it because it was small; more personalized and parking is never a problem. I had a fantastic experience. My ob was ok..... No complaints but wouldn't rave about her either. I have heard good things about dr heng ten.g though if I was to do it again I would probably try him.

Mater private here cos my ob of choice works out of there. Midwives are fab. Also being a tertiary hospy- any probs with bubs and the facilities are there to deal with it. Ie the Wesley won't do births under 34 wks.

That was my main reason for going Mater, it was my first successful pregnancy after three losses, so I was super paranoid about their newborn intensive care facilities. If u go Wesley or Sunnybank etc, and bub needs any sort of specialist care, he/she gets transferred to mater (and I was told mum doesn't usually get transferred with bub)..

Mater Private!!! Had a fabulous experience. I delivered there because that's where my ob of choice delivers.

I highly recommend dr glenda mclaren. She I great. Her bedside manner is lovely and she is so down to earth, always has time to answer questions etc.

Book asap with your obstetrician of choice!! I booked in at 4 weeks.
