Good one! Here are my answers....

Flat cloth nappies, modern cloth nappies or disposables? I don't know the difference yet???
SAHM or going back to work? Would love to SAHM until the kids are at school but realistically will probably take 1 year off then go back
Days until you can finish work to go on maternity leave? 90 - but will work up until a couple of weeks before DD
Public or Private or Homebirth? Private OB and hospital
Do or will you have a 'birth plan'? Would love to stay med free but have no idea what it feels like so options are definitely open!
Capsule or convertible carseat? Not sure yet....
Bottle or boob? Boob if possible for at least 6 months

Definately ask for one if she doesnt do it. Don't they need to check heart rates at every app?

Clearly didn't refresh on my iPhone... Just saw the questions... Can't wait to finish my day to get on to answer them! Awesome idea!!

I'm sitting here stewing, rather ****ed off actually. I toured a few maternity units over the weekend and decided on the hospital. I have gone off the idea of an obstetrician mainly due to the fact I viewed a family birthing centre on Saturday and warmed to idea of a waterbirth with just midwives if you get into trouble they have obstetrician s who then take over.

So I telephoned to book in, everything was running smoothly until they asked "it isn't an Ivf baby is it"? Yes, why? Oh they are not natural babies wtf! Apparently we are all high risk! My doctor never told me I was high risk. So I bit my tongue, but I'm so annoyed

    For real???

Gee that's presumptious to assume that just because it's an IVF baby then it's high risk. I can understand that with some women they would be higher risk but not all.
    That's ridiculous.

SAHM... as long as I can, hopefully 5 or so years!
Days until you can finish work to go on maternity leave?
Finishing at Christmas time, 30 weeks so only 20 to go!
Public or Private or Homebirth? Private OB and hospital
Do or will you have a 'birth plan'? Just get it out... whatever it the safest for me and bub
Capsule or convertible carseat? Not sure yet
    Bottle or boob?
Breast for as long as I can, not hell bent on it if it doesn't work out though, my motto, go with the flow!

Kmvw, I heard the same thing about IVF pregnancies being high risk and that some doctors like to induce 2 weeks early rather than going to full term, that is what happened with a friend of mine. But when I asked my OB, he was very happy to treat us like any other pregnancy. I think it depends on the doctor/hospital and what thier policy is, perhaps you could try for the water birth at anther hospital?

I actually feel a little discriminated against, I have no health issues and I'm still fairly young. So yes annoyed I cannot give birth in a more natural environment.

One of the reasons was they tell me ivf babies are small and need intervention. That's not what the research suggests with frozen transfers, I'm actually dreading having a monster baby as they are meant to be bigger babies and my dh was six weeks prem and weighed nearly 8lb... My poor vag

    Hi ladies,

I think I am ready to come and join you all in this thread! Still a bit apprehensive about doing so before the 12 week mark but am biting the bullet given how long I have been stalking in here for lol. I will be 10 weeks along this week and impatiently awaiting my 12 weeks scan like many others!
