Good luck Thursday Adden. Hopefully the numbers are a good sign for you and everything will be ok. Make sure you let us know!

I guess it will all be trial and error then at the start getting to know what bubs likes. I'm such a worrier and love being organised so this is so different for me!!

Oooh mini muffins, I could easily eat one of them right now! What flavour??

I'm making banana, coconut and choc muffins (some mini, some big ones)
DS LOVES muffins and I prefer to make them as I know what goes in them!

yeah, will keep you updated. its a very different pregnancy, so i won't be surprised either way! GD is normally associated with extreme thirst (thats how i guessed with DS) and I normally drink soooo much water and I'm struggling to remember to drink right now!
I think I'm just trying to talk myself into thinking i don't have it

Amy - love the announcement - how did it go down??
SL - how did your appt go?
Welcome Mrs Simmo - how did I miss you joining? welcome!

My son hated the woombie - I have 2 and he really didn't like either style.
I will try a sleep suit/swaddle thing this time - although I did master the swaddle with a muslin last time (I found Adden and Anais were great - they are big with a bit of stretch. Also the target brand are awesome)

AFM - I have my GTT on thursday. So scared. Im trying so hard to be good with what i eat.
I took my blood reading (finger prick test) all week and its been lower than when i was on insulin (i got readings of 8.2+ all the time with GD and yesterday I got a 5.2 and a 4.4!!) so Im praying thats a good sign.

9 days till my 12 week scan! its so hard to stay positive hey! I can't wait till i feel movement to try and set my mind at ease a bit more (I know you are always worried, just these first 12 weeks suck!!!)

about to make mini muffins for DS for afternoon tea (See.. I want to eat them too, but I can't!!!!!)

Hey Adden, just a quick question re: extreme thirst and gd... I am nearly 15 weeks and am ALWAYS thirsty (not sure if I'd call it extreme though) I have been drinking up to 6 liters a day ( with up to 1800ml overnight! After constantly waking feeling dry...) I am in north oz, so it's hot, but wondering if it's worth mentioning to the OB. I don't remember drinking this much with dd1! What was your experience?

    wow!!
I would definitely mention it to the OB. That is a lot of water!
I don't want to scare you though, it could be anything!
    but yes, absolutely mention it.
I think you are tested at 28 weeks?? maybe get a test early. It sux bad to have GD, but its safer if you are treating it and monitoring your blood sugars.
again, thirst doesn't MEAN you have GD but its worth checking out.

I hear you on the tired front - I'm such a bad mum after 3.30! Poor DS!!!!

Good luck on Thursday hun...and only 9 days to go until 12 week scan - hope it goes quick for you.

My appointment went GREAT thank you - we have been put in the very low risk category with a 1 in 19100 so I was very pleased. He answered all my questions (seriously you really have to write a list because otherwise you would be flustered and forget because it seems like they rush you) - so that was really good. All good with my blood pressure, he said he shouldn't worry that I've gained lots of weight already and surprise he had a doppler which I didn't expect so I got to hear baby's heartbeat again so very very very happy!

13 weeks 2 days today - it's so nice (and surreal) to keep writing it down as the weeks go past - I remember when I was at little old 4 weeks and now I'm super excited!

Amy I am exactly the same anything past 2.30pm and I'm done for the day! I have to say though I'm not as tired as I was a couple of weeks ago so it does go down...a little...for now!
