Thanks Nala - will check it out. How far is Coffs Harbour to drive from Melbourne? Probably a bit far with the dogs...

About 1500km. A bit far I think for a weekend. You would arrive and then have to turn around and leave again. This site has a bunch of pet friendly accom on the great ocean road.

Good Luck with the scan today SL, Let us all know how it goes

Babymoon, We are going to Singapore for the F1 Grand Prix in September and have 4 days in Dunsborough (South of Perth) for my best friends wedding so probably won't have a proper "babymoon"

As for Queensland Islands we went to Hayman Island last year and found it very over priced for what it is... nice place but probably wouldn't go back...

Dropped DH off at the airport this morning so I am early to work... think its going to be a long day!!

Magnetic island off Townsville is not too bad. It's not as expensive as the others and there is heaps to do. It's also just a short ferry ride away from beautiful townsville.

I would love a babymoon too but the only places jumping out are o/s which I'm a bit hesitant with doing!

Has anyone done the QLD islands? I've always been of the impression they are overpriced for what they are?
I grew up an hour away from airlie beach and think the islands are awrsome. Look at long island it use to be the best price and was awesome. South mole use to be but last time we went it had gone down hill more for back packers.
