Hey good luck with your scan in Wednesday sl1009.

Re breast pumps. May be too much info - warning graphic nipple talk!

i bought the single automatic breast pump. It had a battery pack so you can walk around with it attached!! And not be stuck connected to a electrical supply.valso great for work if you intend to expss when you go back to work. I didn't find I could work the double one as it left you without any hands free to drink water - breast feeding is thirsty work - nor free to cuddle the little one with the other han nor free to change the channel on the tele at 2 am!cand calso the double attachments were hard to fit if you aren't that well endowed!

Lastly I do recommend buying one before delivery.vyes the hospitals do have them but they were in high demand and it was difficult to get some pumping time when others weren't using it. Also if you have light colored nipples -pink or peach- you will have a hard time with cracks blistering, bleeding etc. apparently 7/10 women with fair skin and pink nipples will have problems ith blistering etc - I did! It was terrible, bleeding pain, bruising, I cried and cried every time I fed and it was so distressing for me. If you have dark nipples then only 1/10 women will have problems.the best thing I did was get my own pump so I could pump when I could while my nipples healed ( took 8 weeks to heal) before I could try reattaching.

My friends bought Medela single pumps and found them to be great too. I don't think the double is worth the money or the time it may save.

Lastly I reccomend putting on Lansinoh nipple ointment on to toughen nipples up 2 weeks prior to delivery morning and night, once I found this cream I was a lot happier !!

Oh sweaty me too! I've had terrible MS and still do! They say it's supposed to go at 12 weeks but not for me and I'm 2 days off 14 weeks. It's awful isn't it, and leaves you feeling crappy and not right. I still vomit every morning at 4 am and then at 9 and I can't eat anything past 4 pm or it comes up with vengeance. I feel crappy and not right too. Feel for you lots. When is your next appointment? When do you have your big scan? Ae you getting enough sleep and TLC? do you think it's got anything to do with the IVF? My first baby ( naturally conceived) was a breeze but this one I'm finding soooo hard and not enjoying it at all, and this one was IVF. What do you think?? Hoping you get better and feel more like normal soon. Hugs

Warning TMI nipple talk continued lol...

Wow Gampa thanks for this info...and advice about the nipple cream. I remember when my cousin had her little girl and she had terrible trouble with her nipples cracking and bleeding...I have very fair skin so I think I will have this problem too...have you heard of nipple protector things? Their like little teats that sit on your nipples thus preventing them from being too sore whilst BFing...it's not something I know about at all...I'm so excited to be talking nipples and breast pumps lol!!

I got home from work and my pack from the hospital was waiting for me...very exciting only 2 more sleeps until we get to see bubs again

Thanks SL & Gampa, last preg (natural) was a breeze! Textbook perfect up until delivery (with minor ms) this one is IVF and has felt awful the whole way so far! Not sure if that has anything to do with it? DH is away for 4weeks and my dd just wants my attention - all I want to do is rest! I am already showing and finding it uncomfortable to bend! A bit breathless, headachy, still queezy (try to eat, feel sick, don't eat, feel sick) and just generally not right (plus had another freaking UTI this weekend) grrr! Just want to feel good and start to enjoy my much wanted baby #2! I am hoping it improves soon (14 weeks on Thursday)...

Khutch & Gampa I hope you both feel better soon, I've had ms but without vomiting. In one way i wish i would vomit so i'd feel better, but not sure it works like that for ms. All day ms is the pits. I'm so behind in housework, the house is filthy and disgusting.

I'm having trouble cooking and eating dinner, I cannot handle red meat atm. My poor mil cooked a Sunday lamb roast last night and I put the lamb in my mouth and nearly spat it out on my plate!

Reflux has been really terrible as well, I tried a number of medications, but there not helping I'm thinking it's bad atm because I have fructose intolerance, and pregnancy has aggravated the intolerance.

I've come to the conclusion reading my iPhone is making ms worse, it feels like motion sickness.

Enough whining from me! I've found it so hard to keep the pregnancy to myself, some people knew we were doing ivf. So they blatantly ask if this cycle worked, and even though I find it rude they asked I can't help but look guilty! So they work it out.
