Probably a bit of both I was so hungry at the start to the point where I felt really nauseous and headachey until I ate!!

Your walk is so important to get in somewhere, maybe put it to him that you need to walk, would he mind cooking dinner/washing up? Surely he would understand the endorphins are needed?

I can't believe your renovating! I totally get where your coming re the mess. We are in the middle of moving some rooms around and while I can handle it for a day or two, it gets too much after a while and I snap.there is just crap everywhere, and youve probably got saw dust around the place too! Grr we are about to get a 2nd loo put in but luckily that is one days work.

One you start to pop you won't be feeling like a heffa, it feels a little better with a bump but still hate the fact I have to buy bigger clothes. What I hate the most is my thighs and bum are expanding too! Will be worth it in the end.

Meshell, I think they are ok odds, like mentioned above I thought below 300 was high risk? I don't know much on the subject I'm afraid.

SL hope your resting and get better soon
Lillyponds, the mcn expert has arrived!! You've been quiet of late, hope your well,

Man this takes ages to write in the iPhone!
    LOL I'm no expert.

I'm still reading just don't have much to contribute ATM. DD2 has been sick for over a month so it's been Dr's appointments etc and she still hasn't improved much.

I noticed this morning that I need to bring out my 'fat' pants lol. My work ones are starting to feel tight haha.

I've been feeling bubs move about for about a week and a half now. It's just 2 weeks until our 19 week scan. How fast has that seemed to have gone?? lol I know some of you seem to be taking forever but I'm finding this pregnancy ie whizzing by before my very eyes.

Welcome to the new ladies and congratulations!

    Default amnio

Though she really did struggle to measure the fluid as baby was laying on its neck and then when it finally woke it would jump every time she would take the measurement. She did stress it wasnt thickened, is that when there is an issue?
Hey Meshell, I just had an amnio with probably the top guy in brisbane who does it. We went to a local radiology place to do our NT and had a really good NT measurement of 1mm and nasal bone is all there, but it was my very low papp-a bloods that threw the risk right out. I had like a 1/81 chance of T18, 1/118 chance of T13, and around the 1/300+ chance of Downs. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the initial results.

When we went to see the specialist, based on the scans we had, his opinion was that it probably wasn't chromosone problems but possibly an indicator for 3rd trimester complications that we'd just monitor and manage. We still decided to go ahead with the amnio mainly because I knew i wouldn't stop stressing about what if our baby was the 1 in 81.....plus our specialist does so many amnios, and his risk for miscarriage was 1/700...so it was a no-brainer. Our baby had more of a chance of having a trisomy problem than of him stuffing up...Thats how we ended up making our decision.

Good luck, stay sane, and i will keep my fingers crossed for you!

    Hi all,

Meschell hope you are ok and managed to sort thru your amino issues. Let us know what you are thinking...

Has anyone started looking at maternity bras. There's some great sales on at the moment with hot milk maternity wear. It's so nice and the designs are great - but I'm a bit hesitant re buying any new stuff as had dreadful time with DD breast feeding so not sure if I'm going to be able to do it this time .....

Re naughty husbands it pulling their weight with house work - I reccomend getting them in to line now!! It's only going to get tougher with a new baby and you don't want to end up chief cook and bottle washer With a new born. My husband is pretty well trained now! He cooks on the weekends, I do the week days, he does a load of washing on Sundays and I've even managed to get him to put his dirty undies in the washing basket! Not just dump it Next to the basket!! Having said that though he'd do nothing if he could and he call his mother to come and help
At any possible opportunity. But I've said that I work and I'm not a stay at home mum so therefore all housework and cooking needs to be shared. When it's his turn to cook n the weekends and he orders pizza! I turn a blind eye as at least he's ordered it and I don't have to organize it, . To get him to come to the party I withhold favors (he he)....

    Hi ladies,

Im sorry i have been AWOL, i will go back and try catch up with everyones news.

Im 15weeks tomorrow and the MS is just starting to lift for me. So i can now feel that i have the energy to finally play a bit more with my DD.

DH has been his usual fantastic self, lots of TLC, i sleep in all the time and all i generally do is cook dinner for us, he sorts DD out, puts her to bed, cleans up from our dinner etc. He also folds and puts away the washing i wash and dry and leave for him lol.

We had our NT and all is looking fine. Another month for our 19w scan.

Gampa? Was it, you were very sick, how are you now?

    I went to Frank Carmody
Hey Meshell, we saw Frank Carmody too. You'd be in good hands if you do decide to go ahead with an amnio.

Good luck with everything...you'll make the best decision for yourself and your baby i'm sure

    Hi there,
great to see you back here.
yip I'm pretty debilitated with MS - had 2x 3 day admissions to hospital for IV fluids etc and I have to take ondansetron / Zofran regularly still. I'm 13 weeks now and it's starting to ease but I think it'll still be here for another 2 weeks and then I'll also have more energy to play with DD too! My husband pretty good too so I'm lucky but it's definitely harder with a DD to cope with work, DD and running the house with MS. I can't wait for MS to disappear.....have appointment with OB tomorrow and another scan to check HB but im sure all is fine .
Pits so exciting isn't it to think our big scans are not too far away!!

I just ate a meringue without even thinking that it's made from raw egg whites - should I be worried?

I wouldn't worry too much. I'm sure we have all eaten things we shouldn't without thinking about it. I have eaten subway twice and kebabs twice just because I forgot I wasn't meant to.

SL no I'm sure it's fine, meringue is like pav it has been cooked in an oven You can eat most things as long as it hits a certain temperature to ensure all bugs get killed. Hope you enjoyed it!
