    Actually thinking about it more I think it is that you get to keep it for up to twelve months as long as you already held it for at least six months.

    Fourteen months seems odd - unless they count the twelve months as starting when your last one expired (which could have easily expired two months after you were no longer on PPS).

    Why do single parents get more money than partnered parents? Seems odd since partnered parents have an extra person to feed.

    I assume its because if there are two parents, one can work while the other can look after the kids, negating the need for child care whilst still adding a full time income.

    Because a partnered person means there are 2 people able to work and bring in income, pretty simple!
