    Default What's the best stroller/pram for walking/jogging?

I'm after a stroller/pram for doing a bit of exercise with, walking or jogging. I'm not too fit so it won't be anything too adventurous! Can people recommend some good ones to me?

Just for one kid, DD is 3 and about 15kg. But I suppose the option for adding a baby in later (if we have another one!) would be good, but not essential.

I've already got a normal pram, and a maclaren stroller which I'd use for places like the shops or theme parks, this would just be for exercising with. Mostly on concreted walking paths etc.

I don't mind too much about the price.

    Any ideas?

I have a steel craft strider which I had for dd who is now nearly 4, and I'm now using for my 5 wk old ds. It's great for walking, allows a long stride without kicking the wheels, tyres aren't the inflatable ones so you'll never get a flat, bub can face you or away from you. I just use an umbrella stroller for the shops and use the strider for all exercise or trips to farms, etc.

I have bought a strider plus for baby no 2 which we are using already DD just loves it and so do I. It's very easy to steer and very stable (I got the 4 wheeler) and I would recommend on-road and off-road.

I got the plus because you can add a capsule or bassinet and a second seat.

I do alot of walking/ running and have a Mountain Buggy Terrain. It has large tyres at the back (needed for stability for running) and independant suspension for all terrain, but they also have the Urban Jungle, which has smaller tyres at the back. Both prams take up to about 35kg, but neither have the option for a second seat. I also looked at the Baby Jogger City Elite, but I found the MB to be better quality, and also a bit cheaper. The only downside is they fold very long, so you need a reasonable size boot to fit them in.

I can't say enough good things about my MB! Good luck

I've got a Valco Runabout 2. It's got big pump up tyres, and it quite lightweight. Pretty old pram, but does what we need it to do, and the boys love sitting in it!

baby jogger city elite. my ds is 3yrs and 15kg and sits in there nicely. I've put a sheepskin down for him and the child tray on so he can take his drinks and snacks and his cars and he comfortably sits in there for an hour or so whilst i walk.
The hood is fab too it blocks out so much sun from coming in and blinding him. best pram ever IMO

I've got a valco trimode runabout - its the lite version with the hard rubber tyres so you don't ever need to worry about getting a flat. I bought it 2nd hand on eBay about 2 years ago and it's been great to use for walking.
